  1. The pictures of Prague and Krakow bring back fond memories of a summer in Eastern Europe (I was at both places pictured--in fact, I spent the 4th of July in a little pub just off Krakow's town square watching the finals of the EuroCup.) These places have such a wealth of history and culture.

  2. Krakow's Rynek Glowny (Grand Square) is huge. The square is 10 acres and the largest of all of Europe's medieval cities. It is absolutely stunning.

  3. Like Michael, I too was in Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary one summer a long time ago. The red roofs coupled with the river and blue skies were unbelievable. Thanks for posting these!

  4. Yep, I`ve been there. Old, old Chain Bridge....bruhuhuhu. I`ve been to Prague, which was beautiful and convenient in the same time (except the 300 EU ticket, parking in the wrong place), because all the interesting monuments and architecture are close to each other.

  5. It appears that we have a class full of travelers! I really enjoyed the pictures of Krakow and Prague because I remember walking through the plaza in the Krakow picture. The picture of Prague reminded me of walking across the very bridge in the picture. I still can't really believe that I've been to those places. Once I return home, my trips always feel like they were just dreams.

  6. The lovely pictures of Prague and Budapest reminded me of my Christmas travels in Eastern Europe back in 2003. One of the most memorable moments of that travel was when I was walking back to my hotel and looked back at the Charles Bridge, the sunset was setting just behind it. Gosh, these pictures make me want to travel again.

  7. I would love to see both Budapest and Krakow! I have been to Prague a couple of times, the last time was in 2006. It was the first place Taka and I ever traveled to together. I was particularly fond of the main square with the clock tower. In the winding streets that surround the square we discovered a great health food restaurant and vintage clothing stores! I hope to travel there again someday.
